A mixed-use development combining the retention and restoration of two Victorian terrace houses with a contemporary rear addition comprising a 16-room Class 3 boarding house. The proposal incorporates two ground-floor retail/commercial tenancies, activating the street frontage while introducing affordable accommodation behind the heritage buildings. Located within a Heritage Conservation Area, the design carefully balances heritage preservation, increased residential density and the functional requirements of contemporary affordable housing. The Development Application was assessed under the Affordable Rental Housing SEPP and ultimately approved through the Land and Environment Court.
