A large-scale social housing and urban regeneration development comprising 420 affordable apartments, designed to integrate with the existing urban fabric of Heliópolis, one of São Paulo's largest informal settlements. The project adopts an urban block configuration, with residential buildings arranged around a central semi-public courtyard that encourages community interaction, recreation and social connectivity.
The design responds to the site's natural topography through interconnected pedestrian bridges and multiple access levels, providing an efficient circulation strategy while eliminating the need for lifts. A cost-effective construction approach, using structural masonry and standardised building components, supports the delivery of high-quality, affordable housing.
