A collaborative regional planning project focused on the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, exploring the relationship between urban growth, housing, mobility, environmental preservation and the distribution of urban facilities across its 39 municipalities.
Through comprehensive mapping and spatial analysis, the project identified existing urban centralities, population growth patterns, housing demands, transport networks and environmental constraints. The proposed regional strategy aimed to promote a more balanced and connected metropolitan structure by decentralising urban services, strengthening transport infrastructure, creating new centres of activity and improving access to social, cultural and recreational facilities.
Environmental preservation and sustainable urban expansion were key considerations, with proposals incorporating green corridors, improved public transport connections and strategically located community facilities to support more integrated, accessible and sustainable urban development.
My Role: Contributed to regional urban analysis, spatial mapping, identification of urban opportunities and constraints, development of planning strategies, conceptual proposals and graphic presentation of the masterplan.
