A collaborative urban design and landscape planning project focused on the revitalisation of an underutilised area in Santana–Tucuruvi, São Paulo. The project explored opportunities for residential development, social infrastructure and public open spaces, responding to the area's existing urban fabric, environmental constraints and growing demand for community facilities.
Following an analysis of existing land use, zoning, accessibility, transport connections, topography and environmental features, the proposal developed an integrated masterplan incorporating a mix of residential densities, social housing, community facilities and extensive green spaces.
A key component was the preservation and connection of existing parks, waterways and protected vegetation through a network of linear parks and pedestrian and cycling paths. The proposal also introduced dedicated recreational areas, including playgrounds, sports facilities and a cultural centre incorporating a library, theatre, cinema and exhibition spaces.
The masterplan aimed to create a more connected, inclusive and sustainable neighbourhood, balancing urban growth with environmental preservation and improved community amenity.
